About Us

One of Those Feel-Good-Covid-Success Stories

We’re Pam and Christy — longtime friends with a shared love of quirky travel, cute dogs and high altitude living. With backgrounds in operating short-term rentals, mountain real estate, and design (not to mention a questionably high tolerance for risk), we were given the opportunity mid-pandemic to purchase a small, family-run motel in historic Idaho Springs, CO. So naturally, we said YES. Why not?

A woman in a blue jacket is lifting a rolled carpet towards a dumpster outside a laundromat.
A woman joyfully lifts a chair in front of a motel, with a dumpster and parked cars nearby.

What followed were months of socially distanced demolition, caffeine-fueled design sessions, and a full reimagining of what a roadside stay could be — transforming five humble rooms into the thoughtfully curated nine-suite boutique basecamp you see today.

Since then, we’ve expanded, refined, and assembled an incredible local team who share our belief that mountain hospitality should feel warm, intentional, and just a little elevated.

Our goal has always been simple: create a place that feels intentionally different from run-of-the-mill hotel lodging — where comfort meets character, and adventure waits right outside your door.

We’re proud to be part of this historic mountain community and grateful to share it with you.

Welcome to our favorite chapter yet.
