Property Accessibility Statement
Uplift Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the National Historic Preservation Act (16 U.S.C. 470 et seq.) or is designated as historic under State or local law (§ 36.405 Alterations: Historic preservation.). Thus, we are not able to offer handicap-accessible accommodations since such alterations would destroy the historical significance of the property. However, we are committed to doing whatever we reasonably can to make our property accessible. Therefore, we have added the following accessible features:
Accessibility Features & Offerings
- Room 1 (ADA)’s designated parking spot is 8 feet wide for a vehicle plus 5-foot access aisle, located directly next to ramp. Signage indicating it is Van Accessible.
- Parking area is NOT covered
- Ramp from parking lot to rooms 1 & 2
- We do not have an elevator to upstairs rooms. Staircases only to rooms 3-9.
- We do not have a public lobby. Our room entries are exterior only.
- Our lobby is not open to the public. As a small inn, we communicate via phone, text, and app rather than in person.
- ROOM #1 - Ramp to room. Not a roll-in shower, it has a small lip. Shower with handle bars. Small built-in seat in shower. Handle bar at toilet. Spacious bathroom with tile floor, Sink at standard height. Spacious motel room with two King beds, sitting area with sofa.
- ROOM #2 - No stairs to room, accessible from parking lot ramp. Bathroom not fully compliant, and may not be large enough for wheelchair to turn. No handrails in shower. 36 inch shower with small lip. Handle bars at toilet, Sink at standard height. One King bed, two sitting chairs.
